BURLINGTON - Robin Leah Hopkins Huffine, 41, of Burlington, died from complications due to diabetes Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in White County, Tenn. and was the daughter of Robert J. Hopkins and Jan Hale Sparks. Robin was a 1993 graduate of N.C. State University in Meteorology. She was a teacher assistant at Burlington Christian Academy, an aerobics instructor and a member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church in Raleigh.
She is survived by her children, Holly Lansden Huffine and Holden Walker Huffine; father and stepmother, Robert J. "Bob" (Nancy) Hopkins of Southern Pines; mother and stepfather, Jan Hale (Gary) Sparks of Sunset, S.C.; sister, Jennipher H. (Wayne) Isley of Snow Camp; maternal grandmother, Ruth Hale of Sparta, Tenn.; stepbrothers, James Todd Reid of Chapel Hill and Timothy Howard Reid of Franklin, Tenn.; and a nephew, Austin Isley.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Southern Pines by Dr. David Helms.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday evening at Bay Leaf Baptist in Raleigh.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 in Blue Spring Presbyterian Church cemetery by the Rev. Johnathan Angel in Sparta, Tenn.
Memorials may be made in memory of Robin Huffine to Burlington Christian Academy, 621 Sixth Street, Burlington, NC 27215.

I do not know Robin, but a friend of mine is a teacher at BCA and knew her well. From what Ashley has said about her, she was a very kind & loving person. We loved Mrs Robin! She was a sweet, loving teacher and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. We were blessed to have her in our Kindergarten experience at BCA.
