BURLINGTON - Mr. Richard K. "Rick" Moore, 55, of Stokes Street, Burlington died at the V. A. Hospital in Durham on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 3:10 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Robert M. Moore, Sr. and Esther Lee Mills Moore, who survives. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and later a sales representative for pharmaceutical companies. Rick was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother of Burlington, survivors include a daughter, Katie Moore of Georgia; mother of his daughter, Barbara Moore of Georgia; and brother, David Moore of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Jones and two brothers, Robert M. "Bobby" Moore, Jr. and Jerry Wayne Moore.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. Norman Fargis with the family receiving friends following the service at the funeral home. Other times they will be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.

Ricky and I were friends at Cummings and stayed in touch 'till I left Burlington in '79. From this it sounds like he was saved. That's the greatest comfort of all. I'll be praying for you.
