Elmore, Lois Walker* - Efland  
EFLAND - Lois Walker Elmore, 81, went home to be with our Lord after a long and valiant fight with cancer. Lois was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked tirelessly for her family at Dixie Yarns for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lizzie Walker; her loving husband of 59 years, Gordon; a sister, Ruby Barts; and a granddaughter Brooke Elmore. She leaves behind a devoted daughter, Gloria (Randy) Clark of Haw River; three loving sons, Mick of Efland, Jason (Debra) of Mebane, and Michael (Paul) of Mebane; a sister, Ruth Moore of Cedar Grove; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and devoted friends Landa Latta and Tracy Howell. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at McClure Funeral Home of Mebane. A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitors are invited to the home of Jason at other times. McClure Funeral and Cremation Service of Mebane is assisting the Elmore family.

Edmonds Jr., Rex Marshall*  
BURLINGTON - Rex Marshall Edmonds Jr., 75, died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Saturday, May 21, 2016. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Rex Marshall Edmonds Sr. and Pearl Dabbs Hilliard, both deceased. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Burlington Industries. Rex was of the Christian faith. He is survived by two daughters, Rita Edmonds Woody of Burlington and Patricia Bennett Rippey of Graham; five grandchildren, Robert Aaron Bennett and wife Michaela, Amber Danean Bennett, Angela Marie Woody, Nathan Holt Woody, and Mark Eugene Woody; one great-grandchild, Alexis Nicole Bennett; a brother, Noble Wayne Loy and wife Nora; and a sister, Jeanette Bullock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Allred. A funeral service will be held in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ray Crompton. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 5 until 7 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his daughter, Patricia, 702 Sycamore Road, Graham, NC. Andre "Dre" Douglas Enoch PHOTO BURLINGTON - Mr. Andre "Dre" Douglas Enoch, 63, of 622 Apple Street, died May 23, 2016 at the Hospice Home. He was the son of the late Mr. George T. Enoch and Mrs. Juanita Morgan Enoch, who survives. In addition to his mother, of the home, he is survived by siblings, Vondra H. Jones and William H. "Pete" Enoch (Tomasina). Public viewing will be Thursday from 1 until 9 p.m. at Sharpe Funeral Home Inc. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 27, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Bethsada Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service and at other times the family will be at the home. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
