BURLINGTON - Ms. Daisy Jane Jeffries Wyatt, 88, of 2502 Green Level Church Road, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at Hospice Home of Alamance. Her funeral service will be held Friday, April 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Alamance Funeral Service. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral service in the chapel. Burial will be in Christopher's cemetery. Her public viewing will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015, from 1 to 8 p.m. Alamance Funeral Service of Burlington has the honor of serving the family.

BURLINGTON - Lula Covington Wilson, 90, died at Home Place of Burlington on March 30, 2015. Born Oct. 1, 1924, in Richmond County, Mrs. Wilson was a graduate of Wake Forest University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She taught school in Yadkin and Cumberland counties. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, the Rev. M. Kenneth Wilson, of Burlington; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Cathy Wilson of Winston-Salem; daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Stephen Atwood of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Emily Sumner and husband Russell Sumner, Erin Wilson and fiancé Jai Singh, Daniel Atwood and wife Brooke, and David Atwood and girlfriend Heather Richbourg; two great-grandchildren, Kenton Sumner and Boone Atwood. Interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro, N.C. Friday, April 3, at 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 508 E Main Street, Haw River, N.C., Saturday, April 4, at 11 a.m. A family visitation will follow at the church. Warren, Floyd David*  
BURLINGTON - Floyd David Warren, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 57 years to Frances Baulding Warren, who survives. Floyd retired after many years with Great American Knitting and he was a farmer. He was a member of Long's Chapel Christian Church where he served as a deacon, trustee, Sunday school superintendent and cemetery keeper. Floyd was a graduate of the 1956 class of Pleasant Grove High School. He was known as "Paw Paw" to his grandchildren and he attended all their sporting events, taking pride in their accomplishments. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Michael David Warren and wife Cindy of Mebane; daughter, Rose Warren Redd and husband Thomas of Elon; and five grandchildren, Brian Michael Warren, Heather Redd Vereyken and husband Clint, Adam David Warren, Christopher David Redd and Emily Nicole Redd; brother, Clyde Lee "June" Warren Jr. and wife Betty of Burlington; sister, Gladys Warren Pope of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lee Warren, Sr. and Nina Lea Byrd Warren; sister, Brona Minnie Eastwood; and a brother, Richard Warren. The Warren family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cancer Center for all their concern and compassion. A service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Long's Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. R.J. Zupancich. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 31, 2015, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home. Woody, Carl Eugene*  
BURLINGTON - Carl Eugene Woody, age 89 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015. He was a native of Caswell County and the husband of 72 years to Annie C. Saunders Woody who survives. Carl retired from Petrolane Gas Company. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, member of the Methodist Men and he served on the cemetery committee and was a former Trustee of the church. Carl was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, gardener and great uncle to a lot of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Survivors include his wife, Annie C. Saunders Woody of the home; sister, Alma DeBruler and husband, Carl of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Woody and Mae Cornelia Fuqua Woody and infant daughter, Ella Janette Woody; sister, Doris Woody and three brothers, James H. Woody, R.F. Woody and Clyde D. Woody. The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stewart Crank and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the funeral home. Frank Richard Wade, 88, of Beaufort, died Monday, March 23 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. The family will have services at a later date. Frank was member of Brookwood Baptist Church in Burlington, and American Legion. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was a World War II veteran. He was a driver for Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife Betty Wade of the home; a daughter Tina Osuna and husband Giovanni of Guatemala; a son Ricky Wade and wife Tammy of Burlington; two brothers Learo Wade and wife Marie, and Learon Wade and wife Ann; two sisters Marcie Young, and Dorothy Crowder; and two grandchildren Joshua Wade and Faith Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lillian Wade, brothers Gordon, Melvin, and Alvis Wade, and sisters Connie McSwain and Helen Hall. She was the wife of the late Mr. Parker Lewis Worth and the daughter of Mr. James Otis Foust and Mrs. Sally Farrington Foust, both deceased. She is survived by her granddaughter, Cynthia Worth. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Etta Parthenia Worth Foster and husband James and Janice Lavern Worth.
