McBride, Bishop Odell*  
BURLINGTON - Bishop Odell McBride, 93, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, at the Hospice Home, surrounded by his family. He was a native of Yadkin County and the husband of Carolyn Sue Foster McBride, who survives. Bishop McBride was the pastor for over 30 years of New Life Church of God. He was a graduate of East Coast Bible College, affiliated with the Church of God. Odell never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his love of Jesus with everyone he met. He was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn McBride, of the home; daughters, Karen Noel and husband Michael of Canton, Ohio and Sharon Noel and husband Charles of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Dan McBride of Greenville and Jerry McBride and wife Deborah of Durham, Russell Faircloth and wife Carolyn of Burlington and Stephen Faircloth of Reidsville; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Ruby Mae McBride; parents, Charlie Arthur and Mary Bryant McBride; brothers, Elmer, Ray, Ernest, Lonnie and John McBride; sisters, Lucy Spicer, Lillie Perdue and Myrtle Anderson. A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Russell Faircloth and Dr. Russell Morris. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the home. Murray, Dean Byron*  
GIBSONVILLE - Mr. Dean Byron Murray, 65, of Friedens Church Road, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at his home following a lengthy illness. A native of Guilford County, he was married for over 39 years to Devonah Hooper Murray, who survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Dee" and Irene Apple Murray. Dean was a member of Bethel Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon and a Trustee. He was employed as a shop foreman for many years with E.F. Craven Co. and later with Mechanical Systems Co. Dean was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed races at Ace and Orange County Speedways, tinkering with cars and farm equipment and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Devonah Hooper Murray, of the home; brother, Rick Murray and wife Joni, of Gibsonville; nephew, Dylan Murray; and niece, Danielle Sockwell and husband John. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016, at Bethel Christian Church, 595 Baynes Road, Burlington, NC by the Rev. Barry Lane, pastor. Interment will follow in the Bethel Christian Church cemetery. Following the interment service, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro and, also, Betty Graves for the very special care given to Dean during his illness.
