Annie Faye Hall Capes

BURLINGTON - Annie Fay Hall Capes, 66, of Elmira Street, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Hospice Home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
She was the wife of the late Richard Capes and was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Alamance County to the late Allie Montgomery and Annie Laura Roberson Hall. Fay was employed by Blethen Temporary Agency and Kayser-Roth for a brief time. Primarily, she was a stay-home mom and homemaker. She enjoyed being with family, reading, and working special events at her church. She was a member of God's House of Deliverance for over 45 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Capes of Burlington; a son Major Chris Capes, U.S. Army, retired, and his wife Tracy of Mebane; a granddaughter, Jessica Capes; a sister Lois Kay Braxton of Durham and a nephew Sherman Braxton.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Russ Faircloth, the Rev. John Thornton Jr. and the Rev. Roby Turner Jr. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at 609 East Morehead St., Burlington.
