Bernice Johnson

BURLINGTON - Miss Bernice Johnson, 94, of Burlington Manor and formerly of Graham, died at the Hospice Home on Monday, March 10, 2014, at 9:45 a.m. following two weeks critical illness.
A native of Stanley, N.D., she was the daughter of Peter John Johnson and Mathilde Crude Johnson, both deceased. She retired after 37 years of service as a missionary and nurse in Haiti and was a member of the World Team Mission Board. She was also a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church.
Bernice is survived by her brother, Paul Johnson of Oxford, Pa. and preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Hancock Chapel of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. by Pastor Tommy Willis with the family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.
