BURLINGTON - Mrs. Beverly Littlejohn Ferguson, 72, of Burlington died suddenly at Duke University Medical Center on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 11:57 a.m.
A native of Burke County, she was the wife of the late Charles "Ed" Ferguson and the daughter of Roy Littlejohn and Franie Smith Littlejohn, both deceased. Beverly retired from Kayser-Roth Corporation and loved spending time with her former co-workers. She also loved and cared for her pets. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda DeVriendt and husband Randy of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Jody Ferguson of Burlington; grandchildren, Matthew Hanson and wife Simmons of Washington, D.C., Andrew Hanson and wife Jaime of Pasadena, Calif., Daniel Hanson of Harrisonburg, Va. and Samuel Ferguson of Greenville, N.C.; great-grandchild, Alden Hanson of Washington, D.C.; sister, Millie Barrier of High Point; favorite nephew, Randy Barrier and family of High Point; and cousins, Daphne Whisnant and husband Gene and their family, Jerry Allman and wife Janice and their family and David Hall and his family of Rock Hill, S.C.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Littlejohn.
A Service of Remembrance will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014, by Pastor Joshua Haugen with the family receiving friends following the service at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held in Forest Hills Cemetery, Morganton, N.C. at a later date.
