Mr. Bobbie Bradford Ludd

Mr. Bobbie Bradford Ludd, 68, of 4106 Gunn-Poole Road, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Danville Regional Medical Center.

A native of Philadelphia, he was the son of Sumpter Bradford and Ruth Ludd Bradford (both deceased), and the husband of Rose Ludd, who survives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bradford and Elijah Bradford; and a sister, Lula Mae Brown.

In addition to his wife of the home, other survivors include four sons, Harold (Kim), John (Yolanda) and Robert, all of Philadelphia, and Nathaniel (Verna) of Tennessee; one brother, Lewis Stewart, of New Jersey; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church in Leasburg with Pastor Jerry O. Wilson Sr. presiding. Burial will follow at Burton Chapel Cemetery in Mebane.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and all other times at the home. Public viewing will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
