Mr. Charles Michael "Mike" Best

EFLAND - Mr. Charles Michael "Mike" Best, 58, of 6100 Bradshaw Quarry Road, Efland, died at his residence on Sunday, March 17, 2013.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Rachael Thompson Best and Charles M. Best, who survive. Mike was a graduate of Southern Alamance High School and Shaw University. He attended N. C. State University. He owned The Cutting Edge landscaping business.
In addition to his mother of Efland and father and his wife Sarah Stephens of Mebane, survivors include a sister, Sarah B. Gibson and husband Frank of Efland; niece, Lindsey Gibson and nephew, Tyler Gibson. Mike was also survived by three stepsisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Ray "Bo" Best and a sister, Betsy Ann Best.
A memorial service will be conducted at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 3624 Bethlehem-Saxapahaw Road, Mebane, N.C. 27302, (919) 563-5162, on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. David Crow and the Rev. David Hopkins with the family receiving friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. The family will receive visitors at the residence of his mother and father at other times.
