Gibsonville Police Chief
Michael Jon Woznick died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 10, 2013.
He was the son of the late Frank E. and Frances E. Woznick.
Chief Woznick was a humble, dedicated officer, having more than 30 years in law enforcement service. He was proud of his many accomplishments, not limited to his involvement in the Mental Health Community and his membership in Masonic Lodge, Tabasco # 271. He especially loved the Gibsonville Police Department and those that worked closely with him. He will be sadly missed by his family, extended family and many friends.
He is survived by his son Michael Jon Woznick II; fiancée, Angel Smith; stepson, Scottie Smith and wife Danielle, all of the home, and Jason Smith and wife Kellie of West Virginia; brother, Charles E. Woznick and wife Helen of Florida; sisters, Agnes K. Coughlin and husband John of Vermont and Donna J. Reynolds and husband Wayne of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Chief Woznick's body will remain at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C. until taken to The Lamb's Chapel 415 Roxboro Road, Haw River, N.C. 27258 on Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 N. Main St., Graham, N.C. 27253. The Rev. Kevin Baker, Pastor, will officiate with military honors and Masonic Rites to follow at the church.
