Mrs. Clara Bowman Way

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Clara Bowman Way, 98, of East Webb Avenue, Burlington died at the Hospice Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 7:10 p.m.
A native of Roxie, Mississippi, she was the wife of 71 years to the late C. Desmer Way and the daughter of Jessie Willie Bowman and Nealie Loper Ogletree, both deceased. She retired after 40 years of service from Burlington Industries. Clara was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Poe and husband Richard of Haw River; two grandchildren, Donna Snotherly and Ricky Poe and wife Sandi; three great-grandchildren, Kathryn Roney and husband Ben, Brandon Snotherly and Chloe Poe; and a sister-in-law, Jean Way of Burlington.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Keith Sexton with the family receiving friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. At other times they will be at the residence of the daughter, Shirley Poe, 426 Trollingwood Road, Haw River, NC.
