Clifton Thomas Johnson

BURLINGTON - Mr. Clifton Thomas Johnson, 66, of 289 Christopher Drive, died at the VA Medical Center in Durham on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Herbert Ben Johnson and Louise Johnson Lashley, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Clifton was owner and operator of Johnson Plumbing and also Johnson Mechanic and Body Shop. He was a motorsports enthusiast.
Survivors include a son, Jason H. Johnson of the home; and his beloved dogs, Red Baby and Pete Johnson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy "Cotton" Johnson.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence of Kathy Johnson Fox, 2125 Lower Hopedale Road, Burlington, N.C.
