Mrs. Dallas S. Glasgow

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Dallas S. Glasgow, 80, of Burlington, passed away at 3:08 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at her residence following nine months illness.
A native of McDowell County, W.Va., she was the wife of the late William Clinton Glasgow Jr. and daughter of the late Beverly Stevenson and Bessie Myers Stevenson. Dallas was a former employee of Kayser-Roth in Alamance, retired from Belk's and later was employed by Sew-n-Sew Alterations. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, the Battle of Alamance Chapter #256 Order of the Eastern Star and the Good Sam's Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Gail Glasgow of the home; son, William Clinton Glasgow III and wife Sharon of Snow Camp; brother, Alva Marvin Stevenson of Marion, Va.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Pat Monk.
She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30 in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Howard Spray officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 2 until 3 p.m., prior to the service, and at other times at the residence.
