Daniel Grailer

HAW RIVER - Mr. "UAD" Daniel Ralph Grailer, 59, of 1264 Trollingwood Road, died Wednesday May 15, 2013, at 4:58 p.m. at his residence.
A native of Iron County, Mich., he was a proud Eagle Scout and held offices in the American Legion, where he was a past post commander in Haw River. He was retired from GE as a quality control manager with more than 20 years of service and worked with public safety in Kingsford, Mich., where he was a firefighter and a policeman.
Daniel served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy L. Grailer, of the home; sons, Erick Grailer and fiancé Brittany, of Trinity, Sean Grailer, of the home, and Chris Sinclair, of the home; a sister, Donna Waligursky and husband Tom, of Michigan; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred G. Grailer and Agnes Nordlander Grailer; and brothers, Fred and Alan Grailer.
A memorial service will be held with military honors at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Darryl Peebles presiding. The family will receive friends after the service Wednesday evening, and other times at the residence of the family.
