The Rev. Denny Claude Wise

GRAHAM --- The Rev. Denny Claude Wise, 71, passed away Dec. 19, 2013 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. He was the son of the late Reverend Wilford Denny Wise and Hulda Ballance Wise.
Denny was the beloved husband of Judy Bason Wise for 46 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his much loved son, Patrick and wife Christie; and three grandsons, Cameron, Connor and Jose of Norcross, Ga.; sister, Wanda Sanseri and husband Gary of Portland, Ore.; and three nephews.
He was a member of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and served 40 years in pastorates all across eastern North Carolina - from Laurinburg to Oxford and Wilmington to Burlington.
Denny spent the first 10 years of his boyhood in Manteo and thus began his love of all things coastal. He retired in 2006 and has enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending more time with his wife.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 22, 201, at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Graham by the Rev. Kevin Baker, pastor.
The family will receive friends in the parlor from 3 until 4 p.m. before the service and at at other times at his residence, 2464 Pepperstone Drive, Graham, N.C.
