Mr. Dewey "Bud" Gaddy Jr.

LIBERTY, N.C. - Mr. Dewey "Bud" Gaddy Jr., 65, of 7910 Oakgrove Church Road, Liberty, died Nov. 8, 2012 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Bud was born in Dillon County, S.C. He was a lifelong tree care professional, owning and operating Carolina Tree Service. He loved restoring muscle cars. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he was of the Baptist faith. Bud was a friend to all and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Vela "Doodle" Gaddy, of the home; sons, Dewey Michael Gaddy (Darlene) of Clinton, N.C., Donald Lynn Gaddy (Carolyn) of Greenville, N.C. and Roger David Skenes (Pam) of Burlington, N.C.; daughters, Susie Hill (Kenny) of Burlington and Tammy Decker (Karl) of Liberty; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Luro Dean Berry of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carolyn Outlar of Dillon, S.C., Norma Jean Huggins of Greensburg, Pa. and Tammy Lynn Berry of Bennettsville, S.C; brother, Jesse "Duke" Gaddy of Dillon, S.C.; special brother-in-law, Jeff Whitacre (Jenn) of Liberty; special niece, Janice Berry of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Gaddy and Lula Mae Hyatt Gaddy Berry; sister, Cathy Ann Barfield; and brothers, Ronnie and Ray Berry.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Saturday evening. At other times they will be at the residence.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham, N.C. by the Rev. Jeff Johnson. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
