Dorothy Thompson Graves

GRAHAM - Dorothy Thompson Graves, 88, of Twin Lakes, Burlington, formerly of Graham, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Twin Lakes Health Center.
Born in Alamance County, she was retired from textiles where she was an inspector. She was an avid golfer and was a charter member of Quarry Hills Country Club.
Survivors include a son, Bill Graves (Jeanne) of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren LCDR Brian Williams, USN (Kim) and Katharine Marie Woods (Eric); great-grandchildren, Meredith and Sean Graves, Fiona, CoCo and Caleb Woods; sisters, Marjorie Childress of Burlington, N.C. and Leatrice Cox of Hickory, N.C.; and a brother, Albert "Rusty" Thompson Jr. of Haw River.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Mac Graves; parents, Albert "Allie" Thompson and Amelia Sweet Thompson; sisters, Janice Carroll, Marian Crawley and Martha Nall; and brother, Frank Thompson.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Walter Jones at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with burial in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Following the service, the family will have a reception at Best Western Burlington, 770 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, Room 123.
