Mr. Franklin Ray "Frank" Harris

GRAHAM - Mr. Franklin Ray ""Frank"" Harris, 84, of 4005 Thompson Mill Road, Graham, N.C., died Dec. 20, 2012 at 11:25 p.m. at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Burlington.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. He was a long serving president of the Mt. Hermon Memorial Association and a member of the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as well as the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as they always put a smile on his face.
He is survived by a daughter, Wendy McAlister and husband Mike, of Raleigh, N.C.; sons, Phillip ""Phil"" Harris and wife Dana, of Wilmington, N.C. and Dale Harris, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Devon McAlister, Matt McAlister, Seth Harris, Carson Harris, and Ryan Harris; sisters, Rachel McGowan, of Graham and Peggy Wood of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Dare Thompson Harris; parents, Ray Edward Harris and Mozel Tillman Harris.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by the Rev. Tom Miller and the Rev. Steve McGowan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
