Gladys Pruitt Cates

BURLINGTON - Gladys Pruitt Cates, 76, a resident of Springview Assisted Living in Burlington, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
A native of Caswell County, N.C, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Addie Jones Pruitt and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries Williamsburg Plant with 22 years of service.
Survivors are a son, Dennis A. Barker (Gwen) of Reidsville, N.C.; daughters, Pamela B. Moody (Ronnie) of Burlington, N.C., and Scarlett B. Wood (Ron) of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Addie Moody, Gage Wood, and Chase Wood; brother, Carlton Pruitt of Elon, N.C.; sister, Lois Gunn of Ruffin, N.C., and Linda Kearney of Burlington; loving friend, Lucille Robinson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Springview Assisted Living in Burlington and to Mrs. Janice Worth for their care and concern.
The family will see friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday before the service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of her daughter, Pamela B. Moody, 1932 Altamahaw-Union Ridge Road, Burlington.
