Mrs. Hilda Grey Carden Pritchett

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Hilda Grey Carden Pritchett, 83, of Burlington, died at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at 10:15 a.m., following six months failing health and one week critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Wade H. Carden and Flossie Mae Wright Carden, both deceased. She attended Glen Hope Baptist Church and was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Lynda Laws and husband Kenneth and Susan Hopkins and husband Bennie, all of Burlington; four grandchildren, Marla L. Hunley, Ashley L. Snyder, Erin Grey Johnson and Kenneth Williams; two great-grandchildren, Logan Thornton and Stella Snyder; and a sister, Tulip C. Whitley.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Larry Redding, with the family receiving friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence of a daughter, Lynda Laws, 1805 Travis Lane, Burlington, N.C. 27217.
