Mr. James Blaine ""Jim"" Robertson

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Mr. James Blaine "Jim" Robertson, 79, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at 10:27 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Willie Bruce Robertson and Swannie Mozelle Isley Robertson, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim retired from Transco Natural Gas Company.
Survivors include three sisters, Helen Stewart and Betty Murray and husband Homer, both of Burlington, and Norma Smith of Graham; brother, Harold E. Robertson and wife Mildred of Burlington; brother-in-law, Elton Vaughn of Graham; former wife and friend, Becky Strader Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Robertson; two sisters, Hortense White and Mary Vaughn; three brothers-in-law, Banks Smith, James White and Winfred "Buck" Stewart; and sister-in-law, Xenia Robertson.
The funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark's Church on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Ben Bishop and the Rev. Don Pegg, with the family receiving friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mark's Church cemetery. At other times the family will be at the residence of Norma R. Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Swannie and Will Robertson Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Mark's Church, 1230 St. Mark's Church Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
