James Lewis Coble

BURLINGTON, N.C. - Mr. James Lewis Coble, 82, died Nov. 30, 2012 at the Hospice Home, Burlington, N.C.
Born in Alamance County, he was retired from Fleet-Plummer Hardware Co. and a lifelong member of Bellemont United Methodist Church, where he served as a teacher for the Men's Sunday School class and as an assistant Scout Master. Mr. Coble served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Jove Coble, of the home; daughters, Myrna Fanny (William) and Leslie Winstead (Chip), all of Burlington; son, Wayne Robert Coble of Burlington; grandchildren, Aidan Winstead and Sommer Fanny; and nephew, Barry Fahnrich of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Royzelle "Butch" Coble and Margaret Loy Coble.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Bellemont United Methodist Church by the Rev. Farron Duncan and the Rev. Gerald Sanders. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Bellemont United Methodist Church, 4039 Markwood Drive, Burlington, NC 27215.
The family of James L. Coble would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses at Hospice Home in Burlington for their care and compassion during Mr. Coble's illness.
