John Thomas "Tommy" Cook, Jr.
WHITSETT - Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Cook, Jr., 46, of 6705 Long Meadow Drive, Whitsett died suddenly on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 6:00 a.m.
A native of Middlesex County, Massachusetts, he was a machinist and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Jean Kernodle and her husband Kris of Burlington; father, John T. Cook and his wife Beth of Mebane; son, John Thomas Cook, III of the home; brother, Wesley Cook of Whitsett; grandmother, Ellen Shively of Burlington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Broady and Mary Cook and maternal grandfather, Bill Shively.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. by the Revs. Norman Fargis and Tommy Fargis with the family receiving friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
