Joseph David Stacy

Joseph David Stacy, 68, died at his home in Graham, North Carolina on May 3, 2013.
Joe was born on August 30, 1944 in Oceanside, California to John Paul Stacey and O'Lena Butler Frazier Stacey, who both preceded him in death.
He graduated from Walter M. Williams High School and attended business college in Burlington, N.C. In 2011, he retired as a supervisor from S.H. Basnight and Sons Inc. of Carrboro, N.C. He was an artist and an avid fisherman, who enjoyed his yearly Outer Banks fishing trips with family and friends. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts that will not be easily filled.
Joe is survived by daughter Cheryl Stacy Plosker, and son Bill Stacy, as well as grandson Zachary Plosker, all of California; his brother, Doug Stacey, of Burlington; sisters Cindy Green Honegger of Lima, Ohio and Brenda Green (Mark) Lutterbein of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ernest J. Green and brother John P. Stacey Jr.
In accordance with his wishes, his cremains will be scattered in the ocean around Ocracoke Island, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The .
