BURLINGTON - Mrs. Judith H. Fuqua, 72, of 3168 Sundance Road, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 8, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Minnie Herron and was the wife of the late John Clyde Fuqua.
Judith was a member of Bethel Christian Church, where she sang in the choir. She retired from Westpoint Stevens and was an avid UNC basketball fan. Judith enjoyed crocheting and gardening and was a caring and compassionate individual who dedicated her time to visiting the sick and helping those in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include sons, Sidney T. Fuqua and wife Carolyn, Douglas J. Fuqua and Jamie E. Fuqua, all of Burlington; daughters, Hilda G. Wright and husband Roy C. of Snow Camp and Lori A. Fuqua of Burlington; grandchildren, Christie Fuqua, Michael R. Balderson, Adam Fuqua, John D. Fuqua and Jessica Fuqua; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Manson and Matthew A. Fuqua; and aunt, Juanita Shue.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Casey Fuqua; brothers, Kenneth Herron and Bobby Herron; and a sister, Hilda Herron.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Bethel Christian Church by the Rev. Barry Lane, with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.
