Mrs. Judy Lister

MEBANE - Mrs. Judy Lister, 77, of 129 Overland Drive, Mebane, died at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at 4:40 a.m.
A native of Delaware County, Pa., she was the wife of the Rev. Joe Lister, who survives, and the daughter of Vernon H. Lloyd and Irene Collett Lloyd, both deceased.
She was on the Board of Elections for several North Carolina counties. However, the main part of her life was in support of her husband's ministry. Judy was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church, where she was the organist and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also the leader of the Methodist Retired Ministers Group of the Burlington area for a number of years.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, the Rev. Cynthia K. Lister of Haw River; sister, Barbara L. Hipple and husband Paul of Gordonville, Pa.; brother, Henry M. Lloyd and wife Sally Hagele of West Chester, Pa.; three nieces, Terry Bridges of South Carolina, Jenifer Lynn and Dana L. Eustace, both of Pennsylvania; a great-niece; three great-nephews; and a great-great-niece.
The funeral service will be conducted at Swepsonville United Methodist Church on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Jerry Martin, the Rev. Bill Gattis, the Rev. Earl Dulaney and Leah Wilkerson. Burial will follow in Efland Methodist Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
