MEBANE - Kathryn "Kathy" Loy Huey Lane, 63, of Mebane passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 8:50 a.m. at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Jerry Lane, who survives, and the daughter of Ruth Hoyle Loy Bryant Qualls and William Thomas Loy, both deceased.
Kathy was the former owner of Huey's Family Seafood Restaurant in Hillsborough. She was an active member of Mount Zion Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Nathan Huey of Whitsett; sister, Melinda Bryant-McDaries and husband Mac of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Tommy Loy and wife Sheila of Graham and the Rev. Sam Loy and wife Wanda of Lake Waccamaw; stepbrother, Benny Bryant and wife Rose of Henrico.
She was preceded in death by her stepsister, Clydie Faye Moser; stepfather, Clyde Bryant; and sister, Zelma Heyworth.
A Celebration of Life and Resurrection will be held at Mount Zion Christian Church on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Rick Webster. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
