Lee Medlin Michaels

BURLINGTON - Lee Medlin Michaels, of 2214 Combs St., passed away suddenly on Friday, May 17, 2013, at her residence.
A native of Marlboro, S.C., she was the wife of Johnnie A. Michaels and the daughter of the late Willis McLaurin and the late Libby Moore McLaurin. She was employed with LabCorp and attended Graham Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by one son; Dixon Lee Medlin, of Shallotte; one daughter, Christy Winge and her husband Randy, of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Lauren Medlin, Brayden Michaels, Paige Michaels and McLaurin Winge; one sister, Nancy Martin, of Cheraw, S.C.; and one brother, Jimmy McLaurin and his wife Joselyn, of Charlotte.
She was cherished as a devoted friend, wife, mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Sunday evening from 4 until 6. At other times, they will be at the residence.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by Dr. Steve Braswell.
