Mrs. Linda Bayliff Whitson

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Linda Bayliff Whitson, 66, of Burlington, died at the Hospice Home on Friday, March 21, 2014, at 12:40 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Staehle Whitson, who survives, and the daughter of James A. Bayliff and Hattie Armstrong Bayliff, both deceased. She was a military wife for 22 of those 45 years and served as a volunteer for numerous Air Force organizations and retired from LabCorp as a Billing Specialist in February, 2013. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a son, Darren Whitson and wife Jessica of Salisbury; sister, Dorothy B. Lee and husband Don of Graham; two brothers, James Douglas Bayliff and wife Clara and H. L. "Foy" Bayliff and wife Katherine, all of Graham; granddaughter, Emily Grace Whitson; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved lapdog, Bayli.
A memorial service will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Graham on Sunday, March 3O, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Kevin Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 and to the Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 202, Burlington, NC 27216.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the family, friends and medical staff who watched over her and supported her on her final journey home.
