Mrs. Margaret K. Taylor

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Margaret K. Taylor, 82, of 103 Taylor Street, Burlington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 8:15 p.m.
A native of Green Cove Springs, Fla., she was the wife of the late Ralph L. Taylor Sr. and the daughter of Julius E. Knowles and Lorene Austin Knowles, both deceased.
She retired from Burlington Industries after 55 years of service and was a volunteer with the Hospice League of Alamance-Caswell. Margaret was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church, where she looked after the nursery and children's department, and was a member of the Mildred Overman Sunday School Class.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by three daughters, Martha Whitaker and husband "Hoppy" of Tupelo, Miss., Gail T. Proctor and her late husband Roger of High Point and Penny D. Taylor, with whom she made her home; son, Ralph Leon "Lee" Taylor Jr. of Burlington; sisters, Helen Rankin of Texas and Betty Marie Murrhee of Penney's Farm, Fla.; brother, Eddie Knowles of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; her loving grandchildren, Dale Proctor, Stephenie Whitaker and Tripp Taylor; and her loving great-grandchildren, Koty Proctor, Kory Proctor and Ty Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at Glen Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Larry Redding. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service to lie in state.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice League of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
