Mrs. Nathel Horner Mitchell

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Nathel Horner Mitchell, 87, formerly of 2519 Oakcrest Court, Burlington, died at Alamance Health Care Center on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 11:27 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Howard W. Mitchell and the daughter of John F. Horner and Lessie Jane Norris Horner, both deceased. She retired from a hosiery mill.
Nathel was a charter and lifetime member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Burlington.
Survivors include a daughter, Renee Mitchell Sauls and husband Donald of the home; son, Fred W. Mitchell and wife Donna of Morristown, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Dana Wayne Mitchell, Jessica Lynn Mitchell and Melanie Renee Mitchell; three great-grandchildren, Manti H. Mitchell, Layla N. Mitchell and Jayla Atwater; and sister, Ethel Horner Terrell and husband Otis of Mebane.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Roark; and two brothers, Clarence Horner and Wesley Horner.
A graveside service will be conducted in Pine Hill Cemetery on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. by Chaplain Ebbie Murray of Alamance Health Care Center.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service. At other times they will be at the residence.
