Mrs. Priscilla Fisher

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Priscilla Fisher, 90, of Cedar Ridge Retirement Community, Burlington, died at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
Born in Boston, Mass., she was the wife of Harry A. Fisher, who survives and the daughter of Everett Burr Glendenning and Gwendolyn Rose Scannel Glendenning, both deceased. She was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Priscilla was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include three daughters, Alison Martin and husband Randy of Johnsonville, S.C., Leslie Van Newkirk and husband Rick of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Amy Sanderson and husband Mark of Burlington; a sister, Nancy Mitchem and husband Foster of Cary; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private service for the family will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. The family will receive friends at the residence of a daughter, Amy Sanderson, 601 Fountain Place, Burlington on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Council, Ramabai Mukti Mission, P.O. Box 4912, Clinton, NJ 08809-0912.
