Ricky Van Paschal

REIDSVILLE - Ricky Van Paschal, 66, of Cherry Grove Road, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at UNC Hospitals after several weeks of critical illness.
A native of Caswell County, he was the son of the late Ernest Basley Paschal and Mrs. Edna Smith Paschal, who survives, and was married for over 47 years to Mrs. Donna Reeves Paschal, who survives. Ricky was a longtime carpenter and also was a driver for FedEx Ground. He was a member, for over 37 years, with the Cherry Grove Volunteer Fire Department and was serving as the current President of the Board.
Mr. Paschal is survived by his wife of the home; daughter, Michelle P. Adkins and husband, James of Danville, Va.; son, Kyle Paschal and wife Chrissy of Reidsville; three grandchildren, Jay Dailey, Grace Adkins and Delanie Paschal; a stepgrandson, Dylan Adkins; his mother of Reidsville; brother, Terry Paschal and wife, Deborah, of Burlington; two nieces, Tonia Melton and Lindsey Perkins; and a nephew, Cameron Paschal.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Camp Springs United Methodist Church by the Rev. Darrell Massey. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the son, Kyle's, home, 108 Jennifer Drive, Reidsville.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Chase Parnell and all the doctors and staff at UNC Hospitals.
