Robert Lloyd Kirby Jr.

PROSPECT HILL, N.C. - Mr. Robert Lloyd Kirby Jr., of 915 Russell Loop Road, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his residence following a long period of declining health.
He was born in Durham County July 2, 1961 to Lloyd Kirby Sr. and Linda Neighbours Kirby. He was a graduate of Orange High School, an avid fisherman and hunter, former member of Prospect Hill Hunting Club, a veteran of the U.S. navy and loved to watch The Shepherd's Chapel on television.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Ellis Kirby, of the home; daughter, Taylor Kirby of the home; son, Hunter Kirby and partner Adam Shipley of Virginia Beach; parents Lloyd Kirby Sr. and Linda Neighbours Kirby; sisters, Sylvia Wagner of Hillsboro and Amy Greenway of Mebane; and his dog, Izzie.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Service and at other times at the residence.
The funeral will be Friday, March 8 at 1 p.m. in the Harrelson Funeral Service Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Austin Merricks. Interment will be in Cooper Cemetery.
