NEW YORK, N.Y. - Ms. Rosa Rachel Long McKoy of 200 West 112th St. Apt. 5A, died June 26, 2013, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, N.Y.
She was the daughter of Mr. William Robert Long and Mrs. Rosa Elizabeth Brown Long, both deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph G. McKoy and Morris McKoy of New York; a stepdaughter, Alice McNeil of New York; a grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Robert, Daniel, Chester Arthur, Linwood and Charlie Long; sisters, Cora Long Lownes, Martha Long Watlington, Carrie Fannie Long Blackwell and Willie Long Brown.
Public viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, in the Roy Blackwell Chapel of Blackwell Funeral Home in Burlington. At other times the family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Ms. Jean Madden, 1855 High Rock School Road, Blanch, N.C.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, July 5 at High Rock Baptist Church prior to the funeral, with the family arriving at 1:30 p.m. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. at High Rock Baptist Church, 3330 High Rock School Road, Blanch N.C. with the Rev. Henry Long providing words of comfort. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
