Mrs. Sallie Jane Watkins Graves

GRAHAM - Mrs. Sallie Jane Watkins Graves, 85, of 410 Providence Road, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at White Oak Manor.
She was the wife of the late Mr. Yousely Graves and daughter of Mr. Van Watkins Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Daye Watkins, both deceased.
She was a member of Sweet Gum Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved fishing, baseball, sewing, gardening and spending time with her family, sisters, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Ulysses "Pete" Graves of Graham, Charlie Leonard Graves and Kenneth Lee Graves Sr. (Christobella), both of Burlington; a stepdaughter, Margie Swift (Edward) of Burlington; two sisters, Doris Ross of Burlington and Zelma Alston of Mebane; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Watkins and Voilee Nicholson, both of Mebane, and Pauline Graves of Burlington; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Vance William Watkins.
Public viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, in the Roy Blackwell Chapel at Blackwell Funeral Home, Burlington. At other times the family will receive friends at 2955 Crumpton Trail, Burlington.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Roy Blackwell Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Deep Creek Church cemetery.
