Thomas F. Austin

BURLINGTON - Mr. Thomas F. Austin, 95, died at Twin Lakes Retirement Center on Thursday, May 16, 2013.
A native of Millville, N.J., he was the husband of the late Nancy Michael Austin and the son of Thomas Forrest Austin and Tillie Konschak Austin, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in England and France. Thomas was a salesman of writing instruments for 34 years and also in the real estate and insurance business. He was a member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas F. Austin Jr., of Edenton, Gerald D. Austin, of Hartford, and Robert C. Austin, of Madison, Miss.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Matzko, of Greenville, S.C.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Austin.
A graveside service will be conducted at the National Veteran's Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at noon.
A memorial service will be conducted at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Bryan Gregory.
