Mr. Vernon Lee Misenheimer

BURLINGTON - Mr. Vernon Lee Misenheimer, 73, of Burlington, died with family by his side at the Hospice Home of Alamance County on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 11:45 p.m. following a two-year battle with bone cancer.
A native of Davidson County, he was the husband of the late Patty Misenheimer. Vernon was the son of William Lee Misenheimer and Mary Lou Carter Misenheimer, both deceased. He was a graduate of Denton High School and attended East Carolina University. He was retired from 44 years in textile chemical sales - most recently Apollo Chemical Corp. Vernon was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and was President of the Lutheran Men & Mission for over 25 years.
Survivors include son, Lee Misenheimer and wife Stephanie of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two daughters, Lori Miller and husband Andy of Clayton and Sarah Swaim and husband Jeromy of Burlington; one grandson, Otto Misenheimer of Brooklyn; two granddaughters, Harper and Phoebe Miller of Clayton; one sister, Phoebe Hedrick and husband Ralph of Lexington.
A memorial service will be conducted at Macedonia Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. by Pastor Suzanne Shoffner with the family receiving friends at the church following the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
