William Lewis Lindsey Sr.

William Lewis Lindsey Sr., 66, a resident of 9193 Thornton-Royster Road, Oxford, N.C, died in Durham Regional Hospital Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. He was a native of Granville County and a member of Elijah Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughters Bridget Pettiford of Raleigh, N.C., Jawana Ross (Jovien) and Tracey Link (Barry), both of Durham, N.C., Jacqueline Williams (Donald) and Crystal Carr (Rickey), both of South Lindsey (Jeanene) of Colorado Springs, Colo. and William Lindsey Jr. (Jayce) of Fountain, Colo.; sisters: Barbara Ball (Hawk) of McKensie, Ala., Addie Robinson, Mary Ruth Tuck (Robert), Esther Hargrove (Luther), and Carolyn Walker, all of North Carolina; brothers: Owen Lindsey, Michael Linzsey (cq) (Vanessa), Stanley Linzsey (cq) (Julie), all of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doresa Williams Lindsey, and a devoted friend, Lorraine Smith.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Elijah Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Alfred M. Faulkner officiating and the Rev. Wallace Pierce providing the eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.
At other times, the family will be at the home.
The body will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service.
Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Directors are in charge of the service for Mr. William Lewis Lindsey Sr.
