GRAHAM - Mrs. Zenna Ray Hunley, 91, of Above and Beyond Assisted Living II, 316 Denny Circle, Graham, died at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Stanley Lee Hunley and the daughter of Henry C. Guthrie and Hadassie Foster Guthrie, both deceased. She retired from Belk's Department Store and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon.
Survivors include a son, Terry Hunley and wife Debbie of Graham; four sisters, Velsie McAdams, Sue Warren and Carolyn Parrish, all of Burlington and Barbara Chester and husband Jerry of Graham; two brothers, David Guthrie and wife Glenda of Burlington and Don Guthrie and wife Enola of Graham; granddaughter, Brianne Starin and husband Josh of Durham; great-grandson, Connor Starin; and great-niece, Olivia Chester of Graham.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Mike Hunley and Danny Hunley and two brothers, Gene Guthrie and Claiborne Guthrie.
The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church of Elon, 1630 Westbrook Ave., Elon, NC on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the graveside service.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Friday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. C. Keith Sexton.
