GRAHAM - Miss Jamie Elizabeth Slaughter, 45, of 4717 N.C. 54, died at Liberty Commons on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at 1:00 a.m.
She was the daughter of Robert H. Slaughter and Elizabeth Ann Sawyer Slaughter, who survive. She was a former employee at O.E. Enterprises. Jamie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and The Celebration Singers. She was an avid participant in the Special Olympics. She touched the lives of so many people with her smile and her loving ways.
In addition to her parents of the home, survivors include two brothers, Jeff Slaughter and wife, Carolyn, and Joel Slaughter and wife, Stephanie, all of Graham; two half-brothers, Tommy Slaughter of Mebane and Timmy Slaughter and wife, Brenda, of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at Salem United Methodist Church on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. by the Rev. Cindy Lister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
