GRAHAM - Mr. Larry Reid Andrews, 66, of 1857 Swepsonville Road, Graham, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at 5:40 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of LaRue Brown Andrews, who survives, and the son of the late J.C. Andrews and Helen Henderson Andrews, who survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, the Men of the Church and Hunters Helping Kids.
In addition to his wife of the home and mother of Graham, survivors include a sister, Nancy A. Sutton and husband Mike of Graham; and a niece, Shelby Smith and husband Danny of Graham.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. John W. Johnson and the Rev. Norman M. Whitney Sr., with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. At other times they will receive friends at the home of his mother, Helen Henderson Andrews, 1837 Swepsonville Road, Graham, N.C.
