BURLINGTON - Mr. Roger P. Crooks, 68, of Burlington, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.

A native of Norwich, Conn., Mr. Crooks was the loving husband for 40 years of Robin Crooks, who survives, and the son of the late Frank Potter Crooks and the late Mildred Chapman Crooks.
Mr. Crooks was a high school teacher, retiring from Bartlett Yancey High School in Yanceyville. He was an avid disc golfer and was a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association.
In addition to his beloved wife, Robin, Mr. Crooks was a loving father and grandfather to two daughters, Misty Crooks of Boston and Megan Aldrich and husband, Brandon, of Haw River, and their children, Abigail and Cadence Aldrich.
He is also survived by his sister, Perci Crooks of Connecticut, his mother-in-law, Ruth Clayton of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Crooks.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at 2 PM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be Mr. Lindsey Page.
The family will receive friends after the service.
