BURLINGTON - Mrs. Barbara C. Currie, 96, of 3766 Seabury Court, died at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at her residence.
A native of New York City, she was the wife of the Rev. Marion H. Currie, who survives, and daughter of the late Milton Argyle Campbell and Barbara Bruce Shed Campbell.
Mrs. Currie was a retired teacher and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, other than her husband of the home, are a daughter, Betty Boney and husband Benjamin Boney Jr. of Mebane; a son, Peter B. Currie and wife Pam Williams Currie of Raleigh; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Catherine I. Campbell of Asheville.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington with the Rev. Kathryn Lee and the Rev. Dr. Norman M. Whitney Sr. officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the John Knox Room of the First Presbyterian Church.
