BURLINGTON - Barbara Carter Cook, 76, of 1628 Apple St. Ext., died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Randolph County and worked for Annedeen Hosiery for more than 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, James Cook Jr., of the home; sisters, Virginia Russell, of Graham, and Jean Mitchell, of Burlington; and a brother, Max Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bertha Horne Carter; sisters, Evelyn Bryant and Dorothy Barham; and brothers, William, Bruce and Adrian Carter.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012. The Rev. Bennie Smith will preside over the service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 5 until 7 Sunday evening.
