MEBANE, N.C. - Beatres Anderson Parker, 88, of 2502 NC 119 South, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields.

Mrs. Parker was born in Alamance County, N.C., educated in Alamance County schools and attended A&T College in Greensboro. She retired from Rich's Cafeteria in Graham following 40 years of service, and was a member of Martin's Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Aaron Buster (Maxine) Parker of Burlington; grandson, Marvin Parker of Burlington; granddaughter, Tammy (Tyler Turner) Parker of Burlington; great-grandsons, Joshua (Krystin) Brown and Justin Turner, all of Burlington, and Jaylen Turner; sisters, Agnes Covington of Virginia, and Elvira Hayes and Uzette Haith, both of Mebane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Helton Parker; parents, Brown and Elsie Mebane Anderson; and brother, Hampton Anderson.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 until 8 Monday evening and at other times at the residence of Aaron and Maxine Parker, 3263 Fleming Graham Road, Burlington, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at Martin's Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Joshua Brown and the Rev. Robert Jarrell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Christmas Program in memory of Beatres Anderson Parker.
