Bobby Keck Sr. Obituary
A native of Alamance County, he was retired from the auto parts industry and as a brick mason, was a NASCAR driver from 1957 to 1966 and loved attending auction sales.
Survivors include his son, Bobby Darrell Keck Jr. and Penny of Graham, N.C.; daughter, Samantha Keck Cartner of Graham; granddaughter, Cindy Kay Keck of Liberty, N.C.; brother, James Homer Keck and wife Shirley of Graham; sisters, Mary Jones and husband Vester and Ruth Currie, all of Graham, and Glenda Gerringer Clampitt of Columbia, S.C.; sister-in-law, Jean Watkins of Haw River, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edgar and Ella Mae Zachary Keck; and wife, Mary Ella Watkins Keck.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham Friday evening from 6 until 8 and at other times at the residence.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. James L. Rosser. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.

Mr. Keck will truly be missed @ Miranda's Family Restaurant. We so enjoyed his company every morning as he enjoyed his cup of coffee and gravy biscuit. He was such a sweet man. The family is our prayers and we will miss him dearly. May God bless you all in your time of sorrow.

Darrell, Samantha, & Family,
Bobby will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was one of the most loved and respected men I have known. My father always spoke very highly of him and enjoyed the time he spent with him at his shop in the recent years. He will miss those days of sitting and chatting with your dad in the afternoon. I am so glad my little grandson got to know him a little bit too. Please let us know if we can do anything to help you. My families heart goes out to you.

Darrell & Samantha, our family is so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We all remember him from our days spent at the Mt. Hermon ball field and then when he had his business across the road from our Mom and Dad's house. He always waved when we went to visit them if he was outside. I made it a point to try and speak with him when I saw him at auctions since he was "home folk" that I didn't see often from the Mt. Hermon area. Mr. Keck will be missed, a good man with a good heart. I will always remember the good times we had talking about the pass at Denton Farm Park and at auctions. May God bless your family in this time of sorrow.
