MURRELLS INLET, S.C. - Callie W. Reitzel, 94, wife of the late Fred T. Reitzel, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at her residence, with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 19, 1917 in Cedar Grove, N.C., a daughter of the late John Robert and Annie Kirby Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Carroll Reitzel; eight brothers, Odie, Ben, Al, John Robert, Ralph, Eugene, George, and John Jr. Wilson; and four sisters, Virgie, Ethel, Maude, and Ruby.
Ms. Reitzel was the owner/operator of the Helena Villa Motel in Myrtle Beach. She was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Mebane, N.C.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sylvia P. Livingston of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; two grandchildren, Victor Reitzel and wife Rita and Janet Reitzel, all of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; great-grandson, Victor Reitzel Jr.; great-stepgranddaughter, Angel Dooly and husband Max; great-great-stepgrandson, Patrick Dooly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
