BURLINGTON - Carl Allen Bryant, 74, left for the city where the Builder and Maker is God on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County to the late Clyde Allen and Elizabeth Gurton Bryant and was married for almost 42 years to Janeen Pegg Bryant, who survives. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Carl worked at Flowers Bakery full-time for 42 years and part-time for nine years. He was a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church, and because he loved the Lord Jesus, he served as Trustee, Deacon, Bus ministry Captain, Children's Church Leader and other roles in the church and community.

He is survived by his wife of the home; children, the Rev. Don (Kim) Pegg, of Burlington, Keith (Susan) Pegg, of Burlington, Sherry (Barry) Davis, of Graham, Carla (Todd) Coleman, of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Don Pegg, Walter Jones and John Robertson with burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Sunday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
